Sublife Recordings is starting another push of new releases! SBLF012 is finally out (long over due) and is the heavily anticipated release from our good friends, Aphonic.

Check out the clips below…

DOWNLOAD THE RELEASE HERE!

Aphonic is made up of two great guys (Kevin Mitchell & Devon Ingram) from here in California. This will be their second release from them on the label and we hear there is also a BoS/Aphonic co-lab which should be coming out on CODE Recordings sometime in the near future as well. Big up homies!

Sublife just added another release to our ever growing catalog with some new music straight out of Moscow! Russian talent, No Rules, brings some fresh minimal dnb vibes to the label and to help celebrate we have called in some of the local Sublife crew to help bring some “not so minimal” vibes over to 1192.

Expect some hard hitting rolling beats featuring some of San Francisco’s best in Bass…

Jamal (Commercial Suicide, Sublife)
Dubsworth (Dubsalive, Sublife)
Aye~N (Compression, Sublife)
Lukeino (Bachelors of Science, Sublife)
Canadub (SJSU Legends, Sublife)

“Brunette From Mars” is a spaced out halfstep journey in the outer rheims of the solar system. Reminiscent of the old days of acid jazz & downtempo this tune combines lush pads, haunting vocals stabs, heavy bass notes & funky laid back drums.

On “Abell 1689″, No Rules brings an even deeper and more minimal vibe. With kicks and subs driving the track, light amospherics & distant vocals are met with sweep percussions, bleeps and bloops. One for the late night mind exploration crew.

Bachelors of Science have been hard at work getting their new label set up & have just dropped their first single, “Beast (feat. Emcee Child)” b/w “Morning Sun (feat. Maria Remos)

Check out the brand new Code Recordings site, The new single, and the ultra slick video directed by Vanessa Dupré.

Here’s some more info:

A-Side: Beast
Up first, long time BoS collaborator Emcee Child lays down vocals for the devastating dancefloor stepper “Beast”.
Emcee Child has been a long time fixture in the grime and dubstep scene, performing vocals alongside everyone from Skream, Plastician and King Tubby to Benga, Bomb Squad and Photek. Bachelors Of Science have had long standing support in the past from the likes of Grooverider, High Contrast, Basement Jaxx, SPY, Lynx and many more. With this tune BoS and Child continue the tradition by weaving together clever hooks, tough beats and unique samples to ‘raise you right uppa’.

AA-Side: Morning Sun
Changing the pace for the flip-side, the Bachelors return to their liquid roots for a slice of beautiful soul with rising newcomer Smote. With releases already set for Innerground and Good Looking, Smote has long been tipped as a name to watch. On Morning Sun, their catchy piano riff is set against the stunning vocals of Maria Remos and deep bass stabs to great effect. Striking that all so essential balance between haunting ballad and club roller.

Hailing from Miami and of Colombian descent, Stereotype has been soaking up a cross section of musical influences such as Bass, Salsa, Soul, Reggae, Cumbia, Hip Hop, and beyond from an early age. His first record purchase was titled “Gucci Bass” by the Gucci Crew 2 and so it’s no surprise that he can be found most days in his Downtown Miami studio crafting out a barrage of stylish, elegant, bass heavy tunes.

For the last 3 years he has shaken dancefloors alongside some of the biggest names in the scene and the night has become a must for any D&B enthusiast during the Winter Music Conference in Miami. His tunes have played on BBC RADIO 1, across Bassdrive.com and had support from the likes of Fabio, A-Sides, Silver, Atlantic Connection, Random Movement and many more. 2012 has seen him re dedicate himself to the studio and he’s already locked down releases forthcoming on Phuzion Digital and Intrigue.
