Stereotype (Westbay, Phuzion Digital, Intrigue, Sublife, Stank Love – Miami)
Hailing from Miami and of Colombian descent, Stereotype has been soaking up a cross section of musical influences such as Bass, Salsa, Soul, Reggae, Cumbia, Hip Hop, and beyond from an early age. His first record purchase was titled “Gucci Bass” by the Gucci Crew 2 and so it’s no surprise that he can be found most days in his Downtown Miami studio crafting out a barrage of stylish, elegant, bass heavy tunes.
In 2009 he founded the staple D&B monthly event in Miami Beach known as Stank Love, along with his partner in crime Sopheye. For the last 3 years he has shaken dancefloors alongside some of the biggest names in the scene and the night has become a must for any D&B enthusiast during the Winter Music Conference in Miami. His tunes have played on BBC RADIO 1, across Bassdrive.com and had support from the likes of Fabio, A-Sides, Silver, Atlantic Connection, Random Movement and many more. 2012 has seen him re dedicate himself to the studio and he’s already locked down releases forthcoming on Phuzion Digital and Intrigue.
