Calculon (Rubik, Fokuz, Sublife – SD)

A California Native, Calculon has been listening to electronic music for well over a decade. After several years of DJing and promoting events, Calculon became interested in making his own tracks to mix into his sets. After joining the Rubik Records team he has been doing A&R for the internationally respected label and is now a co-owner alongside Kubiks. To date he has signed tunes to labels such as Phunkfiction Recordings, Rubik Records, Fokuz Recordings, Urban Chemistry, Funk Star, Golden Orb, Digital Colours, and now Sublife Recordings.

He also started the bootleg Vinyl Label, Beard, which has recently released it’s second record. DJ Support for Calculon’s original tracks and bootlegs come from DJs such as Logistics, Kubiks, Crissy Criss, A-Sides, AK1200, Reid Speed, and Infiltrata.

Also a part of the Bassdrive Family, he has a weekly show Thursdays from 6 to 8pm PST on Bassdrive.com. Based out of San Diego, you can hear some of the sunshine in his productions, and whether you hear his tunes on 1XTRA or Bassdrive, you will hear the soul and impact in the music.

Dubsworth (Dubs Alive, Surefire, Badman Press)

Live performances by Dubsworth provide the dancefloor with a fusion of high impact sub-low beats rooted in many electronic styles including dubstep, 2-step, and breaks. In addition to CDJ’s, Dubsworth also perform’s a live set which includes laptop, Electric Bass and Guitar. Having performed with over 50 different acts since he began playing out as a drummer and blues guitarist at the age of 15, Dubsworth brings influences from a diverse range of styles including Rock, Jazz, Reggae, Funk and Hip-hop.

Dubsworth has recently recorded and collaborated with many producers such as Kush Aurora, DZ, Antiserum, and Wascal. Dubsworth’s tracks have been featured in mixes by producers and dj’s such as Starkey, Selector Dub-U, and Nick Argon.

An eclectic selection has played a strong role in gaining DJ Arson a reputable name in the Reggae scene, as well as local Hip Hop, and the world famous San Francisco Drum & Bass scene, of which he has been a staple in since 1998.

For the last few years , His musical focus has been strongly aimed at Reggae Music. With a slew of seamless mixes, and some exclusive remixes, He has humbly earned headlining honors at many prestigous Reggae clubs & events in California. Now he is also invading the growing Dubstep scene in the U.S., as many up and coming producers / DJ’s are being given a chance to make a name for themselves across the world…

Lukeino (Sublife, Compression)

Known for keeping his DJ sets laced with exclusive tracks & original productions, Lukeino has created memorable music that has seen airplay every where from BBC Radio 1 to Fuel TV. His tunes have received DJ support from Atlantic Connection, Crissy Criss, Mutt, Mix Master Doc, Mary Ann Hobbs, Calculon, Method One & Stunna, amongst many others.

Lukeino’s energetic and soulful style has been winning over crowds up and down the West Coast and as far east as Miami and NYC. Whether rocking with the massive or smooth rolling in the club, Lukeino brings the funk.

Sublife Recordings was launched in 2008. While focusing mainly on Drum & Bass music, SubLife refuses to be limited by genres. The up and coming label is quickly gaining momentum and has a number of exciting releases forthcoming.
