Sublife rolls on into our third monthly show at the Triple Crown.
This month we will be graced with one of the top talents of Los Angeles…

jo-s

Jo-S
(Shogun Ltd / Metalheadz / Westbay Intl / Peer Pressure / Sonorous / Taciturn Records / Aerosoul Clothing)

New York native Joseph Esposito, known to his fan base as Jo-s, has been involved in the Drum and Bass industry since 1995. Since his transition to Los Angeles in 2001, his impact has been immeasurable and manifest in a multitude of ways both locally and internationally. His skills as a professional entertainer range from live DJ sets, singing and original production.

San Franciscan’s will remember Jo-S from his work with our own beloved Audio Angel. They released a number of epic mix tapes and their 12″ single entitled “Forever” garnered them the attention of DJ Hype with remix work done by Nightwalker and Company Truck.

Jo-s is currently in the studio working on solo projects slated for release, as well as recording vocals for other internationally recognized drum and bass artists. His most noted vocal collaboration entitled “Emeralds”, produced by Lenzman, is currently being played by some of the top DJ’s namely Goldie of Metalheadz fame, DJ Friction, LTJ Bukem, Marcus Intalex and many others. Consequently, DJ Friction has signed “Emeralds” for release on his highly acclaimed label Shogun Ltd. It was a #1 seller on Beatport for 2 weeks and continues to be getting played in the international club circuit. Their forthcoming release on Metalheadz entitled “Coincidence” is already getting exposure and is sure to be another success. Jo-s has recorded vocals for other respectable artists as well such as Bcee and Sinistarr with future releases in the pipeline.

Adding to the vibe will be San Francisco legend…

method one

Method One
(31 / Levitated / Vibez / Vampire / Cymbalism / Covert Operations / Testflight / Peer Pressure / Red Mist / Bassdrive)

In the 16+ years since he first started experimenting with sampled loops, Jason Leder aka Method One has become one of the elder statesmen of the American drum & bass scene. As a dj, he has honed his craft through hundreds of gigs stretching back to the early nineties, and can be heard every week on www.bassdrive.com. As a musician, he is responsible for numerous releases and remixes on labels such as Levitated, Covert Operations, Vibez, Vampire, Red Mist, Nexus (Good Looking), Testflight, Elektra/Warner Brothers and more. His debut release on Doc Scott’s 31 Recordings will be dropping in Spring 2010.

If that was not enough, we will also be graced with a multi-genre set from the one and only…

phleck

DJ Phleck
(Hit n Run, Lowdown)

DJ Phleck is a better DJ than your favorite DJ. He would have written a cool bio describing some of his many accomplishments as a DJ, but he was way too busy being a better DJ than you. If you are an aspiring DJ, we recommend attending any DJ Phleck performance with a pad of paper and pen. Sublife is not to be held responsible if after witnessing a DJ Phleck set you suffer from clinical depression, decide to quit being a DJ, and take up a new hobby like painting little model ships in glass bottles.

We will also be celebrating the birthday of our good friend…

napsty
Napsty
(Hit n Run, Lowdown)

Napsty has been tearing up the Dubstep circuit with exclusive tracks and rude boy mixing. One of the busiest in SF, this bad man is involved with a number of exciting events including the brand new Lowdown @ the Showdown. As we celebrate his birthday he will be warming up the vibe proper as we bring you our third installment of the Sublife monthly.

But wait, there is more! Hosting the night will be our most favorite Angel in the whole wide world…

audio angel

Audio Angel
(Beatropolis, Rentadiva.info)

The one called Audio Angel is actually Rashida Clendening, a transplant from St. Petersburg, Florida who was destined to become one of the distinct voices of the San Francisco, US and worldwide drum and bass scenes. You may have heard Rashida’s voice in commercials, cartoons and video games as her other career is in voice overs. Yes that’s her vocal talent you hear cheering you along on Konami’s “Dance Dance Revolution UltraMix” videogame!

We love our ShidaLou!
